Work
Today, building analytical systems where the geometry of the problem is the solution — dimensional engines that represent business reality the way physics represents the natural world: as structure, not as stored state.
Four decades of advising and leading businesses around a constant thread: the solution to hard problems is rooted in finding the right, canonical representation. Across CPG, pharma, finance, media, information technology, and retail — at Nielsen, Gannett, Citigroup, Eli Lilly, and others — insights that created and released value for countless companies.
Current focus
I am the founder of Galilex, a company built on the proposition that the right geometric representation eliminates the epicycles and reveals the essence of a problem.
Background
MIT Physics and Earth & Planetary Sciences, 1978. Started with Express at Management Decision Systems — where dimensional computing came to life, working alongside John DC Little, Len Lodish, and Glen Urban.
Built and led 4R Systems, a retail inventory optimization company applying risk-theory methods to supply chain. Deep history with Oracle/IRI Express OLAP from the 1980s through the 1990s.
Now semi-retired and building the next thing.
